Northern Italy

The third edition of the series Discover.Vino is dedicated to Northern Italy and will be held on 25 June, between 15.00 and 21.30 in front of the office of Gourmet Publishing, Sopharma Business Towers, Shopping Centre. fl. 2.
During the exhibition the vast variety of wines from iconic areas such as Piedmont, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Alto Adige, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and others will be presented.
The westernmost of them is the famous Piedmont, whose emblematic varieties provide internationally recognized wines like Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera. During Discover.Vino Northern Italy we will understand why the locals call Barolo - the King and Barbaresco - the Queen of Piedmont.
On the east Piedmont borders with one of the largest regions of Italy - Lombardy. In addition to winter resorts, it is famous with the wine names as Oltrepo Paveze (coincidentally called Italian Burgundy) and Franciacorta (known for their excellent sparkling wines in the traditional method).
Italy produces more different types of sparkling wines than any other country in the world and they all come from the Northern areas of the country. Discover.Vino will meet with them and of course, the star of the regions of Veneto and Friuli - Venezia Giulia - prosecco.
In our Northern region of Trentino - Alto Adige is more famous for the white wines, but you will see that the reds are in no way inferior.
